Like i said. i brought my parents to macau and hong kong last week. the trip was awesome even though it was quite a hassle to travel from hong kong to macau with the luggages. (in my personal opinion). i will explain why!

Image

i booked the tickets pretty early like last year. Jetstar was the cheapest ticket i could find at that point of time and it flies to macau straight! unfortunately they stopped flying to macau last feb. so the plans have to be changed! i have to fly to hong kong then take a ferry over. ya.. and i was quite pissed actually. if not the trip will be so much easier.

Image

lol. we are kind of kiasu. haha.. we brought 2 cargo bags and a small cabin bag.

Image

finally we are in hong kong. omg. was so looking forward to the trip. and time passes by really quickly that now the trip is over .

Image

the plans was to spend two nights in macau then four nights in hong kong. so once we arrive in hong kong, we took a cab to the ferry terminal at the hong kong island side. ferry tickets are slightly more exp on the weekends compare to weekdays. i paid extra $5 per person on a sat to get to macau. and the ticket was cheaper when we travel back to hong kong on a monday.

Image

Image

Image

so after we got our tickets from the ticketing counter. we wanted to enter early since we have to *lub* our luggages and my mum have to walk really slowly. alright, i really didn’t know we need to clear immigration to enter macau! lol. like as if it is another country of its own!! maybe it is just me who didn’t know about this. lol. so i was quite shocked that we have to clear immigration again before we can reached the gate to board the ferry.

and once we got to the gate, they then assigned seats to us by pasting a small orange stickers to our ticket.

Image

actually if you carries small bags, u will have to carry it down a flight of stairs. pretty troublesome. luckily the staff was nice enough to lead us to a private lift and allowed us to enter the ferry slightly earlier cause of my mum walking condition.

Image

the ride was a shaky one. i must say!

Image

after an hour ride. we reached the outer habour ferry terminal in macau.. yup clear immigration again. then got to *lub* the luggages all the way to the opposite side to get the shuttle bus to our hotel. imagine how tiring it was for us just to get to the hotel.

Image

Image

finally after 15mins of bus ride. we reached our hotel : sofitel porte 16. it took us almost 5hours to get to our hotel room. lol. maybe if i know the traveling time is going to be so long, i might just spend the entire week in hong kong.

Image

the hotel was pretty awesome though. the room is clean and spacious.with a rather big casino right inside the hotel. it is walking distance to senado square and St paul ruins. but…..anyway in my opinion, try to go to macau during the weekdays. the hotels are Β at least 100bucks more expensive during the weekends compare to the weekdays. it is crazy la.

Next post will be on our walking trip to st paul!

sorry for the disappearance, haven’t got the mood to blog.many things happened the past few days, probably the worst i ever felt since months ago. what can i do to lift up my spirits? 😦

I made a trip down to central park this time round. LOL. Like finally. it is within walking distance from my hotel and yet i just wasn’t motivated to head there in the past. oh well, it is a nice huge park right in the middle of the city.we did not managed to cover the entire park cause the weather is just so freaking hot. i think i looked a shade darker now!

Image

Image

it is quite a rare sight for me to see so many people suntanning in a park and not by the beach!

Image

Headed to central park with lindy!

Image

Image

Image

So relaxing isn’t it???

Image

Image

i just cannot resist having the ice cream in such hot weather in new york. Even though it cost me freaking USD$4 for a cone ice cream. wth.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

then we settled down at a nice small cafe , had our lunch and people watch. these are moments where i love my job!

Image

maybe my next trip to new york i will do a post on soho… it seems like the place has transformed to a even better shopping paradise.LOL.

i just came back from new york this morning, but i just can’t wait to edit those pictures i took of chelsea market and high line park. So without heading to bed yet, i settled on my bed and started editing those photos and now i am done editing them. So here are the pictures.. πŸ™‚

Image

Image

Despite my countless time to new york. i have never been to chelsea market. the place is so nicely done up and is filled with food outlets mostly bakery and seafood.apparently the seafood there is pretty good, i will give it a try some other day. πŸ™‚

Image

there are some shops there that sells some pretty cool picnic stuff.so tempting to buy them!!Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

We “ta bao” some sandwiches and drinks before we head to High line park. we wanted to relax one corner at the park and eat our sandwiches under the sun and with beautiful sights around! Life cannot get any better than that huh!

Image

Like i said earlier on my previous post, High line park is an elevated park built on old train tracks starts from around 14st all the way till 30st. we started our walk from 14st ….

Image

Image

Water!!

Image

then we saw this guy selling ” American style ice kachang.” LOL. it is actually shaved ice with fruit syrup. it is quite a rare sight cause the guy is shaving the ice manually without machines! Many people actually stopped to take a look at what he was doing.

Image

Image

Image

Image

The place has got some interesting art installation and designer buildings along the way that makes the whole walk so interesting and fun to visit!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Nice building huh?

Image

Image

Then the search for the plant of the week. LOL. and we found it!

Image

A permanent naked poster guy waving at us from inside one of the building! remember to watch out for these fun installation along the way! LOL.

Image

And they build a high line zoo at the backyard? hahaa.so funny!

Image

Image

then we settled down at one of the benches to have our sandwiches!

Image

Image

I really enjoyed the walk with zenn. the sights are so interesting- a combination of nature, arts and architecture. Maybe singapore should do something like this at the KTM railway tracks. πŸ™‚

Hope u all enjoyed the shots as much as i do… Next post probably will be on my trip to central park Β with lindy! πŸ™‚

alright time for me to sleep after an 18hrs flight. good night all.

omg. i went to High line park yesterday( Thanks to zenn for bringing me to such a nice place), the sights were amazing along the way.

The High Line is a public park built on an old rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. They are pretty awesome to come out with such an idea, i enjoyed taking the walk there. if u are in New York do give that place a visit, u will love it! i did and i think i will be back there again ( cause according to zenn who has been there quite a few times, said the place looked different when she went at different time of the year).

i jus can’t wait to share the shots here, so this is just a preview. more photos will be uploaded once i am done editing them. LOL.
