A day in Macau

 

basically. we only have a day in macau since it took us 5 hrs to head to the hotel on the first day.Nevertheless, we still managed to do some shopping at senado square and pay a visit to St Paul ruins. 🙂

 

hardly i will tie and bun up my hair like this and actually went out with this hairstyle! usually i will try to tie it up a couple of times then give the idea all up at the end of it and head out with my hair down. i know.a total waste of time. i always thought i looked kind of weird with my hair bun up like this! maybe it is the hot weather in macau that makes me actually want to tie it all up. and i am glad i did. cos the weather was crazily hot that day!

i think my parents do looked like japanese tourists that day.lol.

i think this is the best shot my dad took of me.haha. anyhows, senado square are like 10mins walk from our hotel.  it is really convenient if u are planning to visit these places of interest. senado square is like their shopping area and is flooded with people !! ( omg. probably due to the weekend)

apparently koi kei bakery is the famous shop in macau to get food stuff as gifts to distribute to relatives and friends back home.

my parents went crazy in the shop. half the luggage is filled with koi kei food stuff! omg.

can u spot it? st paul ruins? lol. it is approximately another 10-15mins walk from senado square to get to st paul. i am so happy that i am finally here!

 

and one of the thing you must do when u r in macau is to have the portuguese egg tart!

take a break from the hot weather!

and it was my birthday. 🙂

Good times are always too short.

 

i just came back from hong kong yesterday. fun time are always too short and not enough. i took a week break and spent some quality time with the family. i realize how time flies and how much my parents have aged… and i am glad i did the trip with them. Seeing how much they appreciated the fact that i took them to a holiday just make everything worthwhile.

the trip was awesome. don’t have to worry about school, flights and how busy life is. everyday was just simple, easy and full of laughter  🙂 

i am craving for this kind of life. to have a happy and loving family and a good health. that is all i needed.

Reliving the old times.

lately i have been digging out old albums and trying to recollect the old times. i realize life was so great then, LOL.

all the emotions i get from looking at these photos from the past are so overwhelming. it all constitute to the fact that i was so happy and carefree then, but i was never contented and be grateful for having such a happy childhood. ( haha.. i keep telling myself how life sucks with all the exam and not enough money to spend. and keep telling myself to grow up fast so i can earn more money and buy nice things for myself.) then when i grow up and now been working for almost 6 years with the airline, i want to go back to being young. LOL. it is like a joke isn’t it?

i have learned. to be happy with my life now.be grateful for having a job, a happy family, a healthy body and i have the money to upgrade myself by taking my degree. i want to stay this way. cause i won’t know what will happen to me 10 years down the road.perhaps i will get too sick to travel, or gets too poor to even sustain the kind of lifestyle i am having now. now i just stop thinking too much, and live my life the way my heart tells me to, so i have got no regrets.

then, i realize a lot of people around me have been complaining way too much about how life sucks, about me don’t understand how heavy their work load is. how about trying to look at life from another angle, perhaps 10 years down the road, u might be jobless,and blame yourself that why when u had such a good job then yet still complaining so much about it. or maybe 10 years later, you won’t be as fit as now to travel to all other places while u can do all this with ur life now. life is great! it all depends on how u look at it isn’t it?

thinking from this point of view, does it makes u more happier now? that at least you are alive and kicking well now? lol.haha….

why people like to complicate life? life is just so simple.Be happy and be grateful of what u have now.( i think i am so naggy in this post. keep preaching about being happy.) of course, there are days where things doesn’t turn out great, but it will definitely not be the worst day of your life, so why not think of something happy and turn your mood around. afterall, it is your life. you gets to decide whether u want to have a life full of joy or be sucky about it for the rest of your life.

i dont deny i am still learning to be positive about life too. sometimes negative thoughts do invade my mind once awhile, but when it does, i will try my best to push it away and think of all the happy thing that happens to me. 🙂

i think film cameras are still the best. does DSLR gives u such rich colors in the photos? i don’t seems to be able to get shots like this with my DSLR. is it because i am not good enough with my DSLR that i am not able to bring out the full potential of a DSLR? lol. i am so going to bring my film camera out to shoot again. i hope it is still working.haha

i hope everyone will have a happy day today. 🙂 hehe

this last two shot are not taken with my SLR camera. is just a normal digital camera. but i love it. Looking at this photos, make me want to take a month off and travel all over the world and see beautiful things.

New York : Central Park

I made a trip down to central park this time round. LOL. Like finally. it is within walking distance from my hotel and yet i just wasn’t motivated to head there in the past. oh well, it is a nice huge park right in the middle of the city.we did not managed to cover the entire park cause the weather is just so freaking hot. i think i looked a shade darker now!

it is quite a rare sight for me to see so many people suntanning in a park and not by the beach!

i just cannot resist having the ice cream in such hot weather in new york. Even though it cost me freaking USD$4 for a cone ice cream. wth.

then we settled down at a nice small cafe , had our lunch and people watch. these are moments where i love my job!

maybe my next trip to new york i will do a post on soho… it seems like the place has transformed to a even better shopping paradise.LOL.

New York : Chelsea Market & High Line park

i just came back from new york this morning, but i just can’t wait to edit those pictures i took of chelsea market and high line park. So without heading to bed yet, i settled on my bed and started editing those photos and now i am done editing them. So here are the pictures.. 🙂

Despite my countless time to new york. i have never been to chelsea market. the place is so nicely done up and is filled with food outlets mostly bakery and seafood.apparently the seafood there is pretty good, i will give it a try some other day. 🙂

there are some shops there that sells some pretty cool picnic stuff.so tempting to buy them!!

We “ta bao” some sandwiches and drinks before we head to High line park. we wanted to relax one corner at the park and eat our sandwiches under the sun and with beautiful sights around! Life cannot get any better than that huh!

Like i said earlier on my previous post, High line park is an elevated park built on old train tracks starts from around 14st all the way till 30st. we started our walk from 14st ….

Water!!

then we saw this guy selling ” American style ice kachang.” LOL. it is actually shaved ice with fruit syrup. it is quite a rare sight cause the guy is shaving the ice manually without machines! Many people actually stopped to take a look at what he was doing.

The place has got some interesting art installation and designer buildings along the way that makes the whole walk so interesting and fun to visit!

Then the search for the plant of the week. LOL. and we found it!

A permanent naked poster guy waving at us from inside one of the building! remember to watch out for these fun installation along the way! LOL.

And they build a high line zoo at the backyard? hahaa.so funny!

then we settled down at one of the benches to have our sandwiches!

I really enjoyed the walk with zenn. the sights are so interesting- a combination of nature, arts and architecture. Maybe singapore should do something like this at the KTM railway tracks. 🙂

High Line Park New York ( A Preview)

omg. i went to High line park yesterday( Thanks to zenn for bringing me to such a nice place), the sights were amazing along the way.

The High Line is a public park built on an old rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. They are pretty awesome to come out with such an idea, i enjoyed taking the walk there. if u are in New York do give that place a visit, u will love it! i did and i think i will be back there again ( cause according to zenn who has been there quite a few times, said the place looked different when she went at different time of the year).

i jus can’t wait to share the shots here, so this is just a preview. more photos will be uploaded once i am done editing them. LOL.
